Histrory about Tabo monastery
Rinchen Zangpo was founded the Tabo monastery in 996 AD. This monastery was established with the mission to serve as an institution for advanced learning. It is also known as 'Tabo Chos Khor', which means 'Doctrinal Circle' or 'Doctrinal Enclave' of Tabo, and houses Deva Gyatsho. In this Monastery there is 9 temples, 23 chortens.

In the temples of Tabu monastery, Lamas and monks perform pujas. It is a monastery is the oldest functioning Buddhist monastery in the Himalayas and in India
