About Museum
In Ahar Archaeological Museum you see the rare collection of antique and artifacts have a lot of historical significance. This museum is a houses of an assortment of antiques that date back to the 10th century. Here you also find the 1700 B.C dates back objects. 10th century, metal statute of Lord Buddha and image of God Surya is notable objects.
Some good-looking Hindu and Jain icons are displayed in one gallery, the most outstanding being the metallic image of the Jain Tirthankara (saint). Items excavated from the mound of Dhulkot, which is believed to be a 4,000 years old township, are also on display in the museum.

Main attraction of Ahar Archaeological Museum is sculptures, coins, pottery, earthen pots, iron objects etc. Here you see the earthen pots, iron objects and other artefacts that used to be part of the lifestyle of primordial people.
