Manali Attraction - Shringa Rishi Temple Banjar
Shringa Rishi Temple is an Holy shrine and located at Banjar valley. Shringa Rishi is a chief deity of Banjar valley. Banjar valley is known as ‘Rishi Tapo Bhumi’ . According to Hindu mythology, In forest at Skeeran there was a sacred stone (Pindi) that asked every bystander by for its installation in a temple.
In Skeeran forest people built a temple.After Built this temple they found that it is hard to travel to reach this temple for worship. So they built another Rishi Shringa Temple in Bagi Village.
Skeeran temple is 12 km. from Banjar.Village.
Design of Temple
Temple in Bagi Village is in pagoda cum Pahari style having four roofs. In this temple there are stone and brass idols of puranic god. The Shringa Rishi temple however remains closed during the winters.
