Shimla Attraction - Sankat Mochan Temple
Sankat Mochan Temple is one of the best tourist attractions of Shimla and temple is dedicated to Lord Hanuman. The meaning of Sankat Mochan is "someone who relieves others from all kinds of dangers and difficulties".

Sankat Mochan Temple is situated on the Kalka - Shimla highway, on the National Highway - 22.
About Temple:
Baba Neeb Karori Ji Maharaj was constructed this temple. They had the experienced great peace in its surroundings. Arround 1950's Baba Neeb Karori Ji Maharaj came to this beautiful place. On 21st of June 1966 the shrine was sanctified. To fulfilled the desire of Baba Neeb Karori Ji Maharaj's the temple built and it was dedicated to Lord Hanuman.
Sankat Mochan Temple was a small shrine but due to inflow of devotees, the temple area increase and Today the temple has sprawls on huge area.
In this you can see the idols of Lord Rama, Shiva and Ganesha in separate rooms.There is also a temple that is specially made temple for Baba Neeb Karori Ji Maharaj. Lord Ganesha Temple has been built in the South Indian style.

In the Fornt of Sankat Mochan Temple there is a tree of the main door which is tied by many red small chunni clothes
Facility
Every Sunday,a Langar also organised that means distributing the Prasad very huge scale.
