About Temple
Achaleswar Mahadev Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. According to some legend, It is the place where Lord Shiva had placed his toe to stabilize mountain Nandi Vardhan. On this earth, only Achaleswar Mahadev Temple , where the Great toe of Lord Shiva is worshiped. This temple is 2500 years old and one the best masterpiece work of the artisans of the ancient period.
Outside the Temple, You see the idol of Nandi and the idol is made of five metals - gold, silver, copper, brass and zinc.In this temple also see the natural Shiva Linga.
