History of Rang Mahal palace
Raja Umed Singh was built Rang Mahal palace in mid 18th century. In year 1860, it was completed under the Raj Sri Singh, who developed the southern part of the palace.
About Rang Mahal
Rang Mahal palace is well-known for its intricate paintings of Lord Krishna that show the life of Lord Krishna. The palace doors is painted with paintings and they are preserved at the Bhuri Singh Museum of Chamba. Palace walls are decorated by paintings belonging to the Kangra School. Department of the State Government is owned Handicrafts department of Rang Mahal.
In Rang Mahal there is a place set aside for Himachal emporium. You can see here some local women are seen engaged in embroidery work
